Question REAR FACING INFANT Car seat for extended cab/ club cab/ cab and a half trucks

We have and F250 and F350 extended cab trucks- NOT CREW CAB. Has the front doors and rear suicide doors. Getting a new vehicle is not financially feasible. I’m expecting twins and need the safest option that will work.

I'd try a couple of Urbini Sontis, Chicco Keyfits, or Britax B Safe 35s. They're all compact front to back and fit newborns and smaller newborns well. They'd be my first recommendations in your situation.

Many of the models on this older list are still available. Some, like the Britax G4.1 models, have been renamed (Allegiance and Emblem).

The Urbini Sonti is definitely not compact front to back. It is one of the larger ones on the market. The Cybex Atons are the shortest front to back. They give you almost 2” more space than the Chicco KeyFits that are the next most compact.

If used for a newborn, convertible seats will all be very large front to back but if they will be for once the twins are older and transitioning out of the infant seats, that link from SafeDad is fantastic.
