Question 32lb, 20 month old

Hello -

Looking on advice for what type of car seat I should get for my son. He is 32-ish lbs and 20 months old. We have a Britax Boulevard that he will probably only fit into for another week. The straps barely tighten after putting him in. It is also extremely difficult to latch the buckles because of his large thighs. It takes quite a bit of work to get him situated and buckled.

Big brother has a Britax Pinnacle. We had planned to switch him to one also but it says 2 years for the minimum.

I'm at a loss for what to get...

Does he have a Boulevard ClickTight? If so, have you elongated the harness at the hips? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNm6F5PD7wA&index=4&t=0s&list=PLZO3M_XdB7rZHeWqABScSLQQy2FpXiYEj (ignore the two year minimum, they removed that years ago)

If you have a regular Boulevard, have you moved the crotch strap to the outer position in the shell and in the cover?

I'm sure he can still fit rear facing in his Boulevard, we'll just need to help you figure it out. :)
