Question Occupied sensing child seats

Hello, I am new to this group. I am interested to know how many people would pay an extra ten or twelve dollars for a child seat to include "Occupied" logic for the purpose of enabling reminder/alert warnings to reduce the number of heat stroke tragedies resulting from a child being unknowingly left behind in a car. I have been trying for years to get child seat manufacturers to consider this. Maybe with enough public demand one of the manufacturers will finally do this. It is not difficult, nor is it prohibitively expensive.

Hi!

Several seats now include "SensorSafe" technology which sends alerts to a phone if a child is left in the vehicle. Are you aware of this technology?

Yes. In fact, Evenflo has released SensorSafe Technology which sounds an alarm when the SensorSafe chest clip is not unbuckled within 2 seconds of the engine being shut off - indicating child has been left in their car seat. It also sounds an alarm when child unbuckles their SensorSafe chest clip while the car is in motion. Toddlers have a way of learning how to unbuckle their chest clip after watching their caregivers do so for months or years.
Cybex has also released SensorSafe Technology that that works the same way, but does have a phone app to keep you updated and alerted :)
