Hi All - We have a just over 4 YO, 42 lbs and 42 inches and are driving a 2013 Hyundai Sonota. We are about to max out on our Clek Foonf, rear-facing and are looking for a combination seat / forward facing that can convert to a high-back booster (yes our 4/.4 YO is still rear-facing!!).
While I love the height and weight limits of the Britax frontier and the long time the kiddo can be in a 5-point harness, it seems that there is a common issue with tightening the harness: it is too hard to tighten when the car seat is properly installed because the belt path in the back isn't deep enough and is compressed too much by the back of the actual seat of the car. .
Does anyone have a Hyundai Sonota 2013 w/ this issue and have you had issues tightening it? (I don't love the work arounds that have been suggested so far, specifically, not to loosen them once tightened, or, not to install as tightly).
If not the Britax, anyone have other suggestions to keep kiddo in a 5-point harness for as long as possible for this specific car?
Any help / recommendations would be great!
Thanks!
