    Need a narrow booster

I had intended to fit diono radians three across in my Toyota Sienna, but my son has outgrown his for height. So I am looking for a narrow booster seat. I want the high back kind, I guess. I don’t know anything about boosters, since I had intended to use the Diono all the way through. Do I want a five point harness kind or just a belt positioner kind? My son is 8.

    Re: Need a narrow booster

Generally a belt-positioning booster is appropriate for an 8-year-old. Many kids that age do well in backless boosters, but your son will probably need some time in a high-back booster until he is used to sitting still. If he is in the middle between two Radians, though, that might be enough to help him remember to sit still.

I am not super familiar with boosters either. Here is a comparison chart with measurements for high-back boosters, but you can only compare 4 at a time. https://carseatblog.com/compare/high-back-boosters/

Here are the backless boosters: https://carseatblog.com/compare/backless-boosters/
