Hi, I'm looking at buying a new car that has fixed headrests. I tried one of my current boosters (Rodifix) in the car and it didn't fit - the headrest pushed it forward and there was a gap between the seat and the booster. My almost 11yo is 4'4" and about 59lbs, currently riding in a Chicco Kidfit (with the back). My 8 yo is 4'1" and 56lbs, riding in a Rodifix. Are there HBB you recommend that might work with a non removeable headrest? Or are they old/big enough to switch to NBB?
We had this issue when my mom bought a new car last year. We tried a Clek Oobr but it was too wide for her car and my daughter didn't like it. My mom ended up having the dealership remove the headrests and she had to promise not to let anyone ride in the backseat. I'm looking at a Volvo and they were very clear they would not remove the headrests because of the safety issue. Thanks for any guidance!
