Hello,
My daughter will be 3 in May, she is 33lbs, 3ft .22in tall.
My other children have Graco Carseat a with the safety surround head protection. I never see those car seats in the top rated. Do they have added protection and/ or are they just as safe. The other car seats we have are Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 with Safety surround and Graco Snug ride 35 LX infant car seat with safety surround.
Should we get another safety surround, is it just as safe as the similar top rated convertible car seats and/ or safer?

Hi. We don't know if Safety Surround adds extra protection because our standards don't test for anything like that. We also don't have any studies on the subject. We think that it may have added benefit because EPS foam absorbs energy, but all carseats do a very good job in a crash and most now have EPS or EPP foam. Those that don't have the foam have other ways of dealing with the crash energy.
