In light of the disappearance of the Kiddy Cruiser 3...

I'm feeling a bit optionless. DD turned 5 in Jan. was going to start training this summer. These are the original boosters recommended:

"Ok. In that case you may like the Cybex Solution X-fix, M-fix or Q2-fix, all of which are "huggy" and which have a reclining headrest for sleep; the Kiddy Cruiser 3 which is very adjustable for smaller kids to bigger kids; or the Graco TurboBooster or Affix Safety Surround models. All have nicely positioned head wings for sleep support, a good fit on small riders, and a lower minimum weight of 30 or 33 lbs."

DD is 37 lbs fully clothed. I'm hoping she hits the 40lb mark by spring summer, but no guarantees. She's definitely on the petite side. Typically 7th percentile. Currently wearing 4t-5t shirts. Looking for a booster with deep headwings for my car. This is the primary vehicle and the one she is more likely to fall asleep in, as we take it on trips. I would also like something that latches. I was leaning towards the Kiddy cruiser and it's gone...even on Ebay. The only cybex seat I can find for sale is the Q2-fix. I tried her in a turbo booster with safety surround (its the only one I could find in any store, and the seat pan was pretty deep for her and she said it wasn't comfortable.

Is the Q2-fix now my only option?

No, there are tons of boosters to fit a child her size. It looks like someone gave you a handful of suggestions that met some preferences your child has--can you restate them here so folks can give you another list of options that would work for you?

But I hear you big time about being option less without the Kiddy 3, I'm kicking myself so hard for not just buying it when I realized I will definitely need it. What was I waiting for???

Copied from original post:
Dd will be 5 in Jan. She's always been a peanut (7th percentile). Currently she's 37/38 ish pounds. She wears a 4t in both pants and shirts. She still fits in all her seats harnessed. I'd like to begin booster training her this spring/summer. Our family cars are a 2011 Honda Pilot and a 2012 Subaru Outback. In the Pilot she is currently harnessed in a Britax Frontier, and in the Subaru she's still in a convertible. We do have a Graco Tranzitions in the sitters car. Currently, we own what feels like 1 million convertibles. I'm hoping that next fall she will at least be ready to do short trips in the booster. This way if she is getting picked up by a grandma or the sitter (which will be much less frequent because she will be in K at the school I work at) she can just use a booster. I don't think staying in position for short trips will be an issue for her. Looking for something that fits and supports her well. I think I'd like deeper head wings, because if she does fall asleep (which isn't very often) her head leans a little bit to the side. Prefer latch but not a dealbreaker.
