Question Can I Change the LATCH from clip-on to push-button?

I recently purchased a 3-in-1 5 point harness booster and it comes with the clip LATCH, not the push-button one. I see that they sell the push button ones separately so I thought about just getting one. However, the original strap is threaded through a loop that is attached to the seat. Is it okay to leave that one attached and just pass the strap below it to anchor the seat? Should I remove that strap and just use the push button one? I think the reason the original is attached is just so the strap doesn't fall out when you move the seat. Has anyone else done this? It seems like it would be okay. I really appreciate the feedback. Thank you!

Hi there. So glad you're asking!

No, you cannot modify the seat. This strap and these connectors are how this seat was tested. You can't just change it.

If you don't like the hook on anchors, you could use the seatbelt and top tether anchor, rather than the lower anchors and the top tether anchor.

What seat did you get, and how old and heavy is your child?
