Good morning! Baby #4 is 9 months, 17.5 pounds. Still in her Chicco Key Fit seat in our 2016 Honda Odyssey (captain seat behind driver). We are on vacation and while at a rest area, I discovered that her seat, while latched into the base, will lift approx 1/2 inch. The base is tight, no issues with movement of the base. It's the actual seat, while sitting and latched into the base. Seat is properly latched/locked into the base. It clicks properly when it locks into place. It's when I lift up on the actual seat to confirm that it is latched/locked that I can actually move just the car seat approx 1/2 within the base.
I honestly have not noticed this before. The seat expires in February, so I have a Britax marathon sitting in her closet at home to install soon.
I can try to provide a video later today.
We stopped at a Target and the Chicco infant seat that was on display did not lift within the base like mine does.
Do I need to get her a new seat immediately? I have been up for a couple hours searching to no avail.
