Third row booster placement

Hi, we have a Toyota Sienna and expecting the third child soon. My oldest, six years old is in a high back booster. She tends to get car sick and wants to be in the middle seat of back row. There are no other people that sit back there. Can we use the shoulder strap from side seats to stretch to middle seat? The middle seat third town only has a lap belt. Thank you.

Thank you! Just wanted someone else to back me up bc husband thinks it’s fine. It’s 2016 van. I’m moving it to the side seat in the third row now!

You have a shoulder belt there. All cars do now. It's been required for nearly a decade to have a shoulder belt everywhere. Check page 29 of your car's manual. You pull the seatbelt down from the ceiling to the little buckle. That turns it into a normal lap and shoulder belt. Then she'll just use it like any other belt. Otherwise, without doing that step, you'd have a shoulder belt without a lap portion, and yes, that'd be VERY risky. But luckily your vehicle manual covers how to use the seatbelts in all positions in your vehicle.
