Britax Marathon or Chicco nextfit

We have to do 3 across in a Jeep Grand Cherokee, so, some will have to be installed by seatbelt. Would you recommend the clicktight or the Chicco nextfit.

Stats:
3 years old around 37-38 inches
Around 30 pounds. Most likely forward facing in a britax Pioneer/frontier or KidsEmbrace combo seat.

1 year old 23 pounds and about 29 inches. Rear facing in either a Britax Marathon or a Chicco nextfit.

Newborn will be in a newborn carrier (not sure which one), then move to either a Britax Marathon or a Chicco nextfit as well.

recommendations are welcome for infant carrier

None of the car seats you’re suggesting are particularly narrow. You’re not likely to get a successful 3 across with them. Are you open to alternative suggestions?

Yes, we are open to suggestions! However, we did manage to get 3 across installed in the Jeep using 2 marathons rear facing, 1 Pioneer ff. And another time using 1 Pioneer ff And 1 marathon rf, and 1 Graco 4ever rf as well.

Oh, that must be a wider back seat than it looks like in Google photos, then. They were independently tight?

If not, I would look at the Graco Slimfit. If you’re sure they were good installs, and you like the Marathon, I’d go that way. The Nextfit is pretty wide all the way down, so it might present a problem where the Marathon didn’t.

Yes! I installed the middle, then each side, and then took the middle out and the sides still didn’t move. So, hopefully that means they’re independently tight? Maybe we will go with the marathons then. Any idea on a good infant carrier? We liked the britax b safe 35 elite. The Nuna Pipa, and the Chicco fit 2
