Need the information on the Ford Program R7C to get a teather to hook a booster car seat in our 1999 Ford F150. Do they still do it? Thank you

Hi,

A belt-positioning booster doesn't need a tether. If you mean a combination seat (forward-facing harness then booster) it only needs one in harness mode (though some brands permit it in booster mode.)

If you need a tether anchor retrofit, the part for your vehicle may still be available. The part number is F85Z 15613D74-AA for a Super or Regular cab 99 F150.

Program R7C is still in force in the US (discontinued in Canada.) If they can order the part, they will install at no charge. Ask them to look up program R7C for details. If they refuse, you can contact corporate or go to another dealership.

Is this the same for 2000 F150 extended cab

No, a 2000 has built-in tether anchors. On the Super Cab they are loops behind the seat top. To tether, thread the strap through the loop directly behind the vehicle seat, and attach the hook to your loop next to it (either outboard position when installing center, or the center position when installing outboard. You may tether 2 outboard seats to the center at the same time.)

On the Super Crew they are straps on the back of the seats.
