New Maxi Cosi carseat with actual airbags

Nice concept but all that "dust" that shoots out as the airbags inflate does not impress me. Doesn't that stuff cause skin burns? What if the kid is looking down right at the moment they inflate. Will they get facial injuries?

I imagine the dust can cause irritation. I hear it is the heat of the deployment that can cause burns. For me it is the same tradeoff for any airbag: risk mild injury to prevent head trauma.

Here's some additional info, apparently they use cold gas, so no burn risk.
Honestly I'm pretty excited about this seat, because FF seats rarely get new features that have potential to actually make a notable difference in safety.
If for some reason I really, really needed to have a young child FF [i.e. extreme car sickness RF], I'd seriously consider this seat [my eldest sat RF to 5 y.o. ..].
