I've been off the site for quite some time, but gained great advise in the past. My son is now 7 years old and 57" tall and approx 65 lbs. He's still sitting in a Frontier G1, which you know the max height is 57". My son is begging to get out of it, and he does look like a giant in it all of a sudden. Problem is, when he sits in the car without a booster the seat belt is just barely not right on his shoulder in my car (Acura RDX) and it's way wrong in my husbands Jeep Wrangler. Actually if he sits perfectly straight up in the RDX the seat belt fits perfect, but he tends to slouch. I'm okay with driving to school which is less than a block from our house with him in just the seat belt, but going to our family we are in the car for an hour.
I hate to buy a backless booster at this point knowing he may only be in it for a couple of months. I'm also having trouble finding one rated above 57". Any recommendations? Has anyone used a seat belt adjuster that doesn't make the lap belt portion lift up over stomach?
