Question combination seats

I need a combination seat and am debating between a Frontier and a Defender. I can try out a Frontier but can't find a Defender anywhere around me. We have a small car (VW Golf) so I wanted to find out which of these two seats sits lower so that the rear view is easier. I know that it depends on the height of the child (as far as the adjustment) but wanted to know which one starts out lower. Thanks!

How old, tall, and heavy is your child? I ask because the Frontier goes to a higher height and weight. It might be overkill if you have an average to small child, and I think it does sit the child up higher than the Defender.
