Question Cannot get a tight fit Diono Ranier/2011 CRV

Hello,
I cannot get a tight fit with my Diono Ranier in my mom's 2011 Honda CRV. Ideally I'd like the seat in the center FF. The center lap/shoulder belt has the shoulder portion come out of the roof. Not sure if this is why I can't get a tight fit. After no success, I moved the seat behind the driver. I could not get the back of the car seat to sit flush against the back of the rear seat. It seemed like the head rest was in the way. Any advice. Need to get this installed on Friday.
Thank you.

Hi there. Are you locking the seatbelt as you install? Do you have the forward facing recline out? A gap behind the seat is perfectly fine, or you can remove the headrest and that is fine. Whatever works better for you.

Yes, i locked the seatbelt. Yes, forward facing recline is out. i removed the center headrest seat is flush, i compressed the seat as i tightened the belt. the belt feels tight, but when i check it at the seatbelt path it moves around soooo much. i will have to have a tech come out. i was working with a tech today on FB and could not figure it out. thank you.

I actually gave up on putting a Radian in my mom's CR-V. It's a tough car geometry wise and that's a tough to install seat. I used an alternate instead in the end. I hope you can make it work but I'm unfortunately not surprised it's tough. It's not you, it's the seat and car!
