Is there any way we could do some sort of data collection on how big a kid would be safe in the Apex in any given car?
I'm thinking, measure the seatback, see where the headrest goes, and try to get a 'maximum seated height from seated bottom to tops of ears' and subtract the 'base' height of the Apex itself.
You see what I'm getting at? Maybe we could come up with a basic guideline like, your seatbacks must be at least X inches tall, and your kid's seated height to tops of ears must be no more than X inches tall... maybe that would rule the seat out as a booster for a lot of kids, but I'm sure there are plenty of folks who just want a roomy/inexpensive harness option who don't care if they can't use it as a booster.
Ideas?
