We have a GMC Denali, we had two children and just now had the arrival of twin girls for a total of four. Our GMC Denali has the LATCH system for three of the seats. We need to figure a way to safely attach a seat for the oldest child ( 4 y/o girl ) to the rearmost right seat which has no anchors or floor anchor. We are thinking about using the seatbelt and installing and EZ on floor anchor for the top tether.
Is this a safe way to proceed?

Hi, and congrats on your new babies!

Installing a car seat with the seat belt is totally fine. Even if a seating position is equipped with lower anchors, for a variety of reasons a seat might still be installed with the seat belt. So that part is no issue.

Are you planning to use an EZ on vest with this set up? Or just the top tether anchor? The former is ok if you can find someone to install the anchor, though it wouldn't be my first choice. The latter wouldn't be approved by the car seat manufacturer, as far as I know.

It might be easier to just move seating positions. Any rear-facing car seat wouldn't need a top tether anchor, and can be installed with car seat. So I'd move the 4 year old to a LATCH seating position.
