Question Convertible Carseat to first high back booster...Please help!

Hello!!

My daughter is a petite 5 year old weighing 40 lbs and 43 inches tall. She is currently riding in a Britax Marathon 70G3 convertible car seat.
We would like to move her to her first high back booster car seat. I have been reading several reviews and feel more overwhelmed now than I did when we switched to a convertible car seat. She will be in her seat for about 20 minutes on most car rides, but I would like to find a comfortable seat that we could use for longer rides as well.

We will also need a booster seat for grandma. Unfortunately, grandma thinks she can automatically ride in a backless booster. I don't feel comfortable with that because my daughter is still petite for her age.

I would really appreciate any recommendations! I know I have not been very specific. We will need 1 for a Jeep Laredo Limited 2017 and a 2014 Honda Accord.

Hi Tammy,

We have really loved our Britax Parkway SGL for our petite daughter. We love that it goes up to 63in (she's still riding in it at near 10 years old!) and the sides are nice and tall. Another feature the Secure guard clip that helps children from submarining under the belt made the transition from 5-point much easier as it acts as a 4th point of restraint. It's a little on the pricey end at ~$128 but it goes on sale and was well worth it in our eyes.
