Car seat chest clip

I am looking for a product that keeps my almost 2 year old from unbuckling her chest harness clip and ultimately the seat belt holding her car seat in the car.

Aftermarket products and modifications generally aren't recommended.

To discourage the unbuckling you can try putting the rough and scratchy side of velcro on the outside of the chestclip. You could also try the "shirt trick" - put her in a button up shirt that's open, buckle her in, and then button the shirt over the harnesss and chest clip so she can't mess with it. In colder weather you can do the same thing with a zip up sweatshirt - safety pin the zipper if the kid can unzip by themself.

Distraction can be another method - have some toys (these don't have to be expensive toys!) that are only for the car and switch them out occasionally to keep the fresh and interesting. If you have an old expired or crashed seat (or a used seat of questionable history) then one suggestion I've read is to make a "carseat distraction toy" by cutting out the part of the harness with the chest clip!

If she is completely unbuckling her harness, at her age you may be able to impress on her the importance of staying buckled. One trick people have done is put the kid in the carseat (unbuckled) in the living room and pretend to drive somewhere, then simulate a "crash" by (reasonably gently!) tipping the kid out of their seat. React to impress on them how dangerous that was, then do it again with the child buckled and focus on how the harness kept them safe. (Of course, how well this will work will depend on your child's tempermen

You could also implement a reward system for when she stays buckled. Additionally, it can be good to impress that the car won't move if everyone isn't buckled up properly - though that one works best if they want[ to go wherever you are driving.

Hopefully other people will chime in with some other advice
