Graco 4Ever in 2011 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab

Hi,

I have a 2.5 year old who weights 30lbs. We're still rear facing. She is normally in my car, but we're traveling 7 hours next weekend and will be in my husband's 2011 Chevy Silverado extended cab. We have the Graco 4Ever and he has it in the middle of the back seat. I just want to reconfirm when Graco states you can rear face from 5-40lbs they just mean the child's weight, correct? The weight should not include the car seat's weight. I'd like to rear face as long as possible.

Yes, that's correct. All weights in the manual and on stickers, including lower anchor weight limits on the side of the seat, are the child's weight only. :) Hope that helps!

(Make sure you watch where the child's head is too as that's how many children will outgrow many seats, even a tall one like this, rear-facing.)
