Question 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe third row seating

I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe with collapsible 50/50 third row seating. I was assured, by the dealer when purchasing, that I could install a child seat into the third row. GUESS WHAT??? No way. There are no LATCH's or tether hooks and Hyundai is bumbling all over this in the corporate area. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this issue? I have the same seating capacity right now as I had in my Hyundai Elantra.

Thanks for your time.

Sorry the dealership didn't tell you what you were expecting. But they're not wrong.

You don't need lower anchors to install. In fact, you cannot use the lower anchors in the middle of your Santa Fe or Elantra.

You can't put a forward facing harnessed child there because there's no top tether, correct.

But you can put rear facers or boosters in the third row.

Thanks for that too. I may have to wait as my son is not yet 40 lbs but the highback booster seat would alleviate the issue. Thanks for your reply.

wendy, how did you secure a booster seat in the third row when there are no seat makers without latch system. there is no lap belt and seat belt is too high? do you have a model of booster you used?
