So I am going to be in the market for a new carseat in a few months for my now 6 month old granddaughter. We don't have her very often, but I want to make sure that I have a safe and well made seat for her to ride in. We currently have an infant seat for her but pretty soon she is going to be too heavy for me to carry her in that! I want something that can rear face past one (even though I don't think her parents plan to do that past one. ) Something that is relatively easy to install and doesn't take a Ph.D to figure out the installation. Cupholders on the seat would be very helpful. Also, a seat cover that would come off easily to wash would be nice, but not absolutely necessary. The seat will stay mainly in my care (a 2016 Ford Edge) but occasionally may need to be moved to my husband's 2000 Trail Blazer. I would like to stay under $200 for the seat. I would also like to get a seat that hopefully she can stay in until she no longer needs a seat, except one of those little booster seats.
So any grandparents out there who have seats, what are your recommendations? And even those of you who aren't grandparents, I would appreciate your input.
Thanks!
