    Mifold Grab-n-Go Car Booster

Anybody know anything about this booster in terms of safety ratings and ease of use? They're on the smaller side 38 lbs and 43 lbs and no taller than 46" if this info helps.

I currently have the Britax Frontier Click-Tight boosters for my 6 year-olds in our main vehicle.

I'm asking though about the Mifold for are other car and for going on vacation for rental cars. Also, we could possible use it for babysitter, grandma, or to let friend's mom take them home after playdate. The portability of this Mifold is so attractive!

    What do you all think?

    Mifold Grab-n-Go Car Booster

    Hi and welcome!

The mifold is enticing but disappointing. It's only rated down to 40 pounds, so your smaller child can't use it at all yet.

For the older child, it depends on the child and the vehicle. In some vehicles, for some children, it's great. In others, it puts the lap belt way too low on the thighs. Which makes it a poor option for the "stick it in your backpack and ride in whatever vehicle you want" situation you're asking about. Here's a post with photos:

Would you like suggestions for alternatives?

There's a long thread in which the incredibly (often dangerously) variable fit is addressed here:
CPST and Mom to Emma, 15, Bridget, 13, Maggie, 11, Katie Sue, 6, Jimmy, born May 2019,
and Becky, waiting for us as part of our eternal family.
Our '02 Odyssey, car seats, and seatbelts saved our lives. Now riding in a '13 Odyssey!
