FF harness height questions

I know that if you are RF it is at or below and FF is at or above but what if when you are FF it is a little below but the next slot is way above, do you put it way above or leave it below???

TIA a Mom on my Birth club board was asking and since I have the BV and Ryan is RF I have never paid that much attention:eek:.

For forward-facing, the harness must always be at or above the shoulders. So if the harness slots are a little below, they need to be moved up, even if the next slots up are higher than they should be.

You always want them above when FF because you want kiddo held back in a crash. Having the straps above the shoulders will allow that to happen. If the straps are below when FF, even a little bit, it will allow too much forward movement (which increases head excursion) and can cause spinal compression.
