Need reccs for car seat overhaul

So it seems like I'm going to need a lot of new car seats.

I have a ds who will be 5 in 2 weeks, is 45 in and 37 lbs. and a baby due in 6 weeks.

We currently have a keyfit30 that expires dec of this year. My ds rides ff in a nextfit and a guide 65, but I saw him in the guide this weekend and the straps are maybe 1/4 an inch above his shoulders. He's got maybe 3/4 of an inch in the nextfit.

Additionally my parents are going to babysit from august to December before the baby will start daycare in January. So we need car seats for 3 cars. Our primary car a 2015 crv, my dhs car a 2008 accord and my parents 2017 accord

I'm thinking of getting a frontier for ds for my car. Need something for dhs car. Is it unreasonable to think I'd could get him a turbobooster for my parents car come September?

For the baby my parents can use the keyfit, but we only have 1 base and I don't want to buy 2 more for,a,seat that will expire in 6 months. I'm thinking dh can use the nextfit rf for the baby. So I'll likely need new infant seat for my car.

Suggestions for seats or ideas I'm not seating? Thanks!

Depending on your son's booster readiness, that could be an option. I have seen others suggest that you booster train a child in your vehicle before you let him ride in a booster with someone else. I like the looks of the Harmony Defender and I hear it makes a good booster down the road. That could work for secondary cars.

If the Guide 65 still has some time before expiration, the baby might fit in that after the KeyFit expires. That would cover your parents for a while. Then you can get a seat of your choice for your car.
