Which is better?

Hi,
I'm looking for a carseat suitable from birth and debating between:
Second-hand Evenflo momentum (expiration date JAN 18)
NEW Evenflo Sureride
NEW Evenflo Maestro
NEW Evenflo Tribute
NEW Evenflo Sonus.
I know the momentum is considered to be a better model, but they don't sell it new where I live, and I don't really understand the differences between the other models.
I'll be glad of any advice.

You can take the Maestro off your list since is a forward facing only seat. I don't know much about any of the other seats.

I would also rule out the second hand Momentum. I would not get a convertible for a newborn that expires in less than a year.

Of the remaining 3, the Sureride will last longer than the Tribute rear facing (40" standing height limit for the Sureride; 37" limit for the Tribute) and longer than both the Sonus and the Tribute forward facing.

Is there a reason you're only looking at Evenflo? If I wanted a convertible car seat to use for a newborn in that kind of price range, I would look at the Cosco Scenera NEXT and the Graco Contender. The Contender is a little pricier, but if you have some time, there are often deals available that get it below $100.
