Question 3 RF across second row

Hello, I've searched and haven't found the exact combination of seats we have. I have lost sleep over this and am beyond stressed so hopefully someone can help. I am pregnant with twins and have a 19mo. She is RF in a Graco E2F and we have her old Britax B-Safe Elite. We were going to just purchase another B-Safe when the twins arrive. My question is we need a new car, preferably an SUV. We are looking at the Ford Explorer, Infiniti QX60, Acura MDX , Chevy Tahoe. Will this combo fit in any of these vehicles? Should I purchase a new convertible? The problem is, we have four Graco E2F's and didn't really want to have to replace them. Dads car is a '12 Mercedes E350, is there any way to fit this in that car as well?

Are you willing to get different seats for the babies?

My advice would be try the seat in the vehicles you look at and assess remaining space. If you still can't fit 2 other seats at least you'll know which offer the most room overall, but that way you'll have a chance of finding one that will.

I guess we can get different seats for the twins. I would prefer infant seats though, to use a travel system. So instead of buying another B-Safe we could get two different infant seats. Also, if we end up with 2 B-Safes, I could purchase a different convertible for my daughter.

The B-Safe is quite wide and large. There are a lot of other choices. The Keyfit often does well in tight spaces. I've heard good things about several of the newer seats as well- Pipa? Do you have a Buy Buy Baby?

Also, is there a reason you want an SUV? They are often less roomy for a 3-across than many larger sedans. Of course a minivan will give you even more room and more cargo room, generally (often better mileage than an suv too.)

I currently have a sedan. I hate having little trunk space and having a car so low its hard to put my daughter in, I'm 5'10 and my fiancé is 6'2. I know I'm going to need a lot more space with 3 kids. I just really like SUV's and the room they offer. Yes, I do have a BBB. That is where I purchased my daughters car seats. I'm just trying to save as much as I can. I hate for one or both of our seats to go to waste. I currently have four Extend2fits for both of our cars and grandparents cars. I also have a Pria with the magnetic chest clip. I found it very convenient to have a travel system with my daughter that's why I'd like to keep with infant seats for the twins. I'm just so confused as what car will be best with what seat arrangements. Finding out you have twins is so stressful! Lol

Since you have a Buy Buy Baby, and so many seats are carried there, I'd go to the store and try some seats in your current car. That will give you an idea of what is out there that's narrower (buckets and maybe some convertibles) and kind of an idea of how much more space you'll need to look for when car shopping.

I do think you should give minivans consideration if you want space- they do usually offer a lot more than most SUVs. :)
