Question Three car seats in Chrysler Town and Country

We are trying to figure out the best way to install our car seats in our 2013 Chrysler Town and Country.

Our kids are

4 1/2 year old in ClickTight Britax Frontier (requires seat belt use due to weight, needs top tether)

3 year old in forward facing Britax Roundabout (needs top tether)

Newborn in Graco Snugride 30

All children require an adult to buckle and unbuckle them so ease of parental access is important. We are thinking about stowing our passenger side 2nd row captain seat and putting two in 3rd row and one in the drivers side 2nd row captain seat.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good/safe arrangement? I'm not sure if the Britax Frontier can be installed using seat belt and top tether. The lower anchors are very off center of seat belt and the top tether appears to centered to the lower anchors not the seat belt.

Help appreciated. :)

Hi there.

If you've been installing your Frontier with the lower anchors, you're in for a huge treat when you switch to the belt. It'll be a million times easier (the ClickTights were never designed to be used with the lower anchors).

I'd put the four year old and baby in the third row, baby on the passenger side, four year old in the middle. Then the three year old on the remaining captain's chair.

You may find that the center install of the Frontier doesn't leave enough space to install the infant seat next to it. In that case, just swap the older kids, and use the offset lower anchors for the Roundabout.

Thank you for the comments. We'll try the Britax Roundabout in the the third row center next to the Graco Snugride. I'm going to get it checked out by a tech at our fire department. The top tether of the Roundabout is at a slight angle...I know about the 20% rule but really have no idea how to determine what angle it is at.

The tether for the center is fine. You don't need to worry about the angle, it's there for the center seat.
