A friend of mine is expecting her 3rd child this summer, and asked me for help, but I'm a bit out of the loop
. She currently has 2 graco nautilus seats in her 2013 hyundai santa fe. I know that she will need to replace those seats with something much more narrow. But, is 3 across allowed in a santa fe? I thought I had read that older models of this vehicle have overlapping belts, but I may be mistaken... If she can do 3, which seats do you recommend? Budget is a concern, but safety and longevity are priority. She's hoping for combination seats, since she'd like to keep them harnessed, but not have to replace seats too quickly again, but combination seats are quite large.
Her kids will be just turning 6, and 4 1/2 when baby arrive. They are very average in size for their age (size 6 and 4t). She'd like baby to be in a bucket seat, which means, she also needs to consider a convertible (but who knows what will be available come summer 2018)
I know a 3 row vehicle will be much easier, especially as the kids move into boosters, but she's hoping to not have to get a new vehicle.
thank you for any advice and suggestions!
