CS install with non-removable headrests

Helping a friend install an Evenflo SureRide in a 2010 Honda CRV. The headrests may through some voodoo, come off, but we were not able to get it. The headrests tilt forward slightly, so the CS makes contact on the headrest and near the byte. She was able to get a rock solid install, but there is a gap behind the majority of the CS back - maybe an inch. Is this a problem? (Oh, and installing in the center is not an option as she has 3 across.)

Thanks!

Generally if the manual doesn't specify you want to pull forward so any gap is near the bottom/middle with the top in contact and the bottom flat. But if the manual says "no large gap" or "full contact" you'd need to contact Evenflo to see what they think.
