We are looking to buy a 2016 (or 2017 price dependant) vehicle that will fit 3 across, 2 RF (1 infant) and 1 FF. We already have the Chicco Key Fit to suit the infant up to about a year, but need vehicle suggestions that will accommodate 3 across convertibles in the future - 2 RF and 1 FF. Our price range is 20k-40k. We'd like to balance affordability with quality and reliability in our vehicle and are looking for the lowest price point with that in mind.
Could you offer some suggestions in type of vehicle and recommended seats? Our preference is cross-over or SUV. We are willing to look at Pick-up trucks in lieu of minivans if we need to go there. Not adverse to minivans, but we think a Pick-up would offer us more versatility in the future (towing/carrying) for ATVs etc. if it turns out we need to spend the 40k.
Also a reality check would be welcome, if we seem to be asking the impossible.....
