Avi wants to RF!

Avi was turned FF at 18 months and 33 lbs and does not remember being in his seat RF. Last week I took Avi to Target and my friend and her 8 month old son came with us. Her son is in a Peg infant seat, the new one, I am not sure of the name. Avi was so jealous, he was telling me that he wanted to sit like the baby, and why can't he sit like the baby, it was all I heard about during the drive there. It was the perfect opportunity for me to tell my friend all about ERF, and how Avi would still be RF if he was not 40 lbs.

our DD1 has recently commented on wanting to sit in her sister's RF seat (the signo). being that she's 35 lb with clothes, she could barely do it anyway, and her own seat is a FF-only RYS anyway. but in her case, it's not that she wants to RF, per se, it's that she wants to do what her sister is doing. ;) if her sister started going FF unrestrained, she'd want to do that too .

My son wants to do it, too. I practiced putting his Marathon in rear facing so I could make sure I'd know how for my friend's 2 year old and Dylan immediately said "I wanna sit like that!". So I let him for a few minutes and tried painstakingly to get him to understand that he was way too big to be sitting that way.
