2016 Odyssey vs 2017 Sedona?

In our search for a new vehicle we have narrowed down our mini-van choices to these two (although still have a couple of SUV's we are considering).

We would go with the base model of both picks so neither will have all of the extra safety features. We are a family of 4 with no plans for more kids and captains chairs in the centre row is a must - I want an aisle for easy access to the back row. I know the middle seat can come out in the 8 seater versions, but then the two remaining seats don't have an armrest on one side.

Just interested to hear pros cons of both vehicles and which others prefer.

I'd go with the Odyssey. It would have more flexibility overall in possible seating arrangements than the Sedona and I think it edges out just slightly ahead in safety overall.
