2015 Kia Sedona vs 2015 Toyota Sienna

We are planning to move on from our 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan (YAY!) and have test-driven both the Sedona and Sienna, used 2015's previous rentals, with somewhat high miles but we don't mind that as we don't put on lots of miles ourselves. Both were 8-passenger models. Both had four sets of LATCH so that's nice for flexibility of who sits where.
We have four kids: 10 year who 5-steps or uses an incognito, 8 year old backless booster rider, 5 year old high back booster (could go back in Frontier 85 but has been doing well with booster) and a petite toddler 17 mos who will RF a long time yet, currently in a Radian RXT.
The Kias seem to run about $3000 less than the Siennas of comparable age and miles. We have had smaller Toyotas which haven been excellent to own (corolla, prius) so we are partial but we were pleasantly surprised by the Sedona. We test drove a Sedona back in 2010 when we ended up with the Dodge and Kia seems to have made lots of nice improvements since then.

Is there anything else to consider as far as pros and cons between these two vans? We'd like to keep our "new" van about 5-6 years, maybe longer if we get a Toyota, lol.

I bought a 2015 Kia Sedona in May 2015. You'll have to double check this, but one thing that pushed me toward the Kia vs. the Toyota is the small overlap test. The Kia had a better rating than the Toyota on that test. I also like the look of the Kia more since it's a bit more SUV-ish in looks. I didn't care about the ability to remove the middle row of seats, but that could be another consideration for you.

I really like my Kia. The only problem we had was a recall on the sliding passenger doors, but it was fixed easily and they've been fine since then.

One thing that might have pushed me more toward the Toyota is the possibility of getting AWD. The Kia does not have that possibility, but we don't live in mountains or snow so it wasn't a big deal to us (and other other car is a Subaru so we have AWD if we need it for a trip).

Definitely happy with my Sedona!
