Odyssey and Foonf

I had a terrible time with the older lockoffs and my Foonf in a 2014 Odyssey with leather seats. Gave up and turned DD1 around. Got a Fllo for DD2 for the extra latch time. Now that seat was in an accident and I need a new one. I asked in an earlier post if the new lockoffs were that much better and apparently yes they are - but then I read a post here about the new lockoffs not working well in an Odyssey with leather seats! So now I wonder if there is something with the seat shape and slippery leather that doesn't work well with the Clek seats rear facing lock offs.

Does anyone have a great seat belt install with a Foonf in a leather newer model Odyssey?
