Sorry in advance for the novel!
Hi there! Our babysitter got into a fender bender and the seats that she uses for our kids were in the vehicle, so we're playing "musical car seats" and are in need of two high back boosters for my eldest children. We will be moving my 8 year old's booster from my vehicle to the babysitter's, and buying her a new one for my car. 6 year old needs a new one for babysitter's car. Hopefully all of the info you need is down below:
We are in Canada so unfortunately our options are a bit limited.
Child #1: 8 years 3 months old: 53 lbs, 50.5", 18.5" torso. The seat will be going in the second row of a 2012 Mazda 5. She is a squirmy kid so I'm looking for a booster that has a lot of torso and head support to remind her to stay in position. Budget would ideally be under $150, but I'm willing to spend up to $200 for a seat that she can easily buckle herself in, has a ton of torso support, and doesn't feel as "flimsy" (her words) as the Turbobooster she was previously in. *I'm also willing to buy a combination seat to use in booster mode if that will fit the bill. I have 2 younger RF children that it can eventually be passed down to in 2-3 years.*
Child #2: 6 years 5 months old: 45lbs, 47", 17" torso. The seat will be going in a captain's chair of a 2002-ish Dodge Caravan. Ample head/torso support isn't an absolute necessity for him, as he is much better at staying in position. Something very easy to buckle is a must though. Budget is also under $150.
Thanks in advance!
