Please Check Belt Fit

DS has now outgrown the Sureride so we have very few options left for him. I want to work on booster training over the next few months. He is 55lbs, 48", size 7 shirt and 4yrs 8 months old. Seat is the Frontier Clicktight. How does he look?

The lap belt is the only part I am really unsure of. It wasn't as low on the thighs as I think it should be. How do I fix this, or is it okay? Any other feedback or tips on booster training?

Thanks for the feedback, KQ.

He won't be riding in the Frontier in booster mode until he outgrows the harness. We need a back up seat so I will likely buy a Safety 1st Boost Air Protect or Diono Cambria so we can use that for carpool & occasional use with extended family. I just used our Frontier to introduce him to boostering & make sure I knew what I was doing! :)

Do you think the Parkway with the SG clip would be a better choice than the above mentioned seats, taking into account his size? I do like the protection of the SG clip but I stopped considering it when I read it wasn't very wide (DS has very broad shoulders).

One problem with the above mentioned seats is they both require vehicle support. If you're using them as spares in many vehicles that could be problematic if one vehicle has forward leaning head restraints that cause a gap.

I have both a Parkway and a Boost Air and can't say the Parkway is significantly worse for my broad-shouldered child- and she gets better fit in the Parkway in some positions.
