Recaro booster cover question

Hello,
I have a Recaro Proride convertible that is absolutely impossible to keep clean, and the cover is disgusting. One of the HB boosters I have narrowed my search to is the Recaro Performance booster. I'm worried the fabric on the Recaro is going to end up disgusting like my convertible has. We take long trips and snack in the car. I don't expect the seats to stay in mint condition and I try to pick patterns or colors that won't show as much dirt, but I don't want to spend the money if it's never ever going to come clean and look like a heard of elephants stomped muddy feet all over it.

Anyone have experience with the Recaro Performance booster? Is it difficult to clean?

I don't know if it is the same material, but our Recaro booster is impossible to clean as well. It can only be hand washed, and it didn't not come out well. It had all sorts of water stains on it, and it still didn't look clean. Also beware the base is very wide and my 7 year could not buckle it himself. We always had to buckle it for him. We use the Chicco big kid fit in our primary car and the parkway in our secondary car. He prefers the kid fit the best of the three.
