We are looking for a new-to-us minivan; our budget is around 10k, although we could go a big higher if we find a great deal. (I've been searching for 15k or below.)
I like the safety ratings of the Odyssey and Sienna, and we've driven Toyotas for ~10 years now and love them. I noticed the safety ratings on the Sedona look good, too, so I am cautiously including that as well.
I would like a usable 8th seat if possible, so - if I understand correctly - that means I am looking for an '04-10 Sienna or an '11+ Odyssey. Right? Does the Sedona have an option for an 8th seat?
If I find a Sienna in that year range that has 7 seats, can we add an 8th if we can find one? Or did they have to come with 8 to start with?
Is there anything I need to know about any of these vans? Like one has transmission issues after a certain number of miles, or one is super easy to drive vs. another, or has really uncomfortable seats, or one doesn't have adequate tethers/anchors - stuff like that.
Thank you in advance!
