can I do this?

DD2 fell asleep in her RA50 and had a rare accident, that we didn't discover for a while later, which means wetness had seeped through quite a bit. The comfort foam was wet. What do I do about that? Could I use the comfort foam from the expired RA50 that's still sitting in my closet? Would that be considered more like the soft goods that can be reused or like the integral parts that can't be used once the seat is crashed or expired?

You could just wash it, no?
If it's destroyed, yes, I'd use the other foam. Comfort foam isn't a lifesaving part like impact absorbing foam.

Thanks!

Yes, I rinsed it with cool water and let it air dry over night. I was concerned that it would still be wet in the morning as it's been so humid here, and we have to be somewhere, so that's why I was thinking about the one from the expired seat. But it was dry and everything is reassembled and back in the van. At least I had a spare cover as that is still quite damp this morning!
