Received open boxed new seat >:(

I've been so excited to get dd2 new seat and it finally arrived but the box was cut open. I grabbed the box from the porch the minute UPS dropped it off and came in excited to get my hands on it only to find the tape across the top was intentionally cut all the way across, leaving the box completely unsealed. Would you use the seat or try to get a replacement?? She has outgrown her infant seat so I was really in desperate need of it. The plastic was still covering the seat, etc but of course my worry is how long the box was open, did the seat fall out, etc.....
Thoughts??

I think it's probably fine if it was still enclosed in plastic.

What retailer did it come from?

If it's all still in the plastic packaging, tags still on, etc. it wouldn't concern me at all to use.
