Question Best set-up for 1-year old triplets in a minivan?

I am hoping to help a friend with his car seats for his 1-year-old triplets. They are probably around 18 months and the car is a Toyota Sienna (not sure of the year). I am a little nervous that they may already be forward-facing and so I am trying to figure out what the best/most convenient way would be to position them so that they can all be rear-facing. The last time I saw them, they were still rear-facing, but they also were still in their infant seats.

If you had 3 kids under two in a minivan, where would you put them? Any tips for loading/unloading?

Personally, with only 3 kids, I'd probably remove the passenger side captains chair and a kid in the other captains chair and the other 2 outboard in the third row. It would allow a parent to put all 3 kids into the vehicle and close the door and then get all the kids into their seats. This would also allow the adult to sit in between the 2 third row kids to easily buckle both kids.

That is what we did when my three boys were little. I don't have multiples but had all three in three years.
