3 across in small/mid size SUV

We have twin 7 year-olds who are under 50 pounds and a 20 month-old under 30 pounds. Our frequent care givers have smaller SUVs (Subaru and Nissan) and I have a 2014 Ford Escape. We're looking for boosters for the twins and a convertible (rear for now, forward in the future) for the youngest that would fit 3 across in the back row.

I noticed some Cosco products are claiming "3 across most back seats". That's usually to be taken with a grain of salt, of course. I like the Cosco Scenera Next as a possibility, especially since it is also FAA approved.

What models for the bigger kids and the little one should we consider for this configuration?
