Evenflo Sumphony RF height limit

Did this seat had a retroactive new limit of 36 inches? Or is it just the head with the shell as the manual states? Pictures in the comments

The seat was donated from a friend of mine, I am going to give it to a mom who lost her seat in an accident (baby was not in the car) and she doesn't have the money for a new one, so I want to be sure that she can use this seat RF with her 2 y/o, the one in the picture is my baby

What's the model number? The sticker is a bit wrinkled so I am not sure I have it right. When I type in 3511140 or 31511140 and the DOM at Evenflo, they say that model number is invalid...

I would call them directly.

All the info I can find says the same as your manual. I would call Evenflo, but I would err on the side of following your manual. I can't really imagine that they would impose a standing height limit retroactively. I would guess that they put the standing height limit in later on because they were getting feedback that folks were ticked off that their kid was outgrowing it sooner than they expected -- or that parents wanted some kind of guesstimate as to how long they could expect it to last by height, since it is fairly short.
