Question How does the Graco Size4Me install/fit in a Mazda 3 sedan?

Hi,

My parents just bought a Mazda 3, the four door sedan (I guess the newest model). They really like the Graco Size4Me carseat (their friends have it and it's not too expensive), and they want to buy one - I like the idea since it has extended rear-facing.

How does the Size4Me install/fit in the Mazda 3? Right now, we need it rear-facing for our 3 year old (though we'll need it forward facing for later) and we have no other kids at the moment, so we don't need to worry about 3-across.

Thanks!

I have a Mazda 3 hatchback, but have not tried the Size4Me or one of its "clones" in it. As far as I can tell, the sedan has more space in the back seat than the hatchback.

A disadvantage of the Size4Me (and the Fit4Me, MySize, Headwise and Contender) is that when rear-facing, the headrest goes "back" as well as "up." So it takes up progressively more front-to-back space as the child gets taller and you adjust the headrest up.

So I would recommend trying before you buy. Bring the car to Babies R Us or Toys R Us, which has the MySize or Size4Me (same seat, different names). You can leave your license at the desk and test-install the seat in your car. I would recommend actually installing it; don't just set the carseat on the seat. Don't forget to raise up the headrest to see how it fits when adjusted for a tall older child. It might fit in the middle even if it doesn't on the driver's or passenger side.

Let us know what you find out!
