Which seats to use where? New ones?

Kids: DS 7.5 years, 53lbs, 49" tall. DD 5.5 years, 42lbs, 42" tall. I would like to keep DD harnessed for a while - she has ADHD type behaviors and is very impulsive. We tried a booster for two weeks while we cleaned her seat - first week was fine, but after that we realized she needs the harness!

My mom has two Nautilus seats in her van. DS is using the booster (highback), DD is harnessed - she's just past the third slot (so probably a year of growth or so). Her seat (the back) expires in December. It's gross - I'm ready to get rid of it! DS is on the top booster adjustment, but has probably the same amount of time before it's outgrown.

My other concern is we're about to get a 2nd family vehicle, probably a 2013-2016 Camry or Accord. Our current vehicle is a 2004 Highlander. The new vehicle will become our primary vehicle, but I will keep both ready with seats.

In our current vehicle, DS has a Monterey (newer version, bought last year) and DD has a Frontier 90. We also have a Frontier 85 that needs a new harness/buckle set - it's currently sitting b/c I haven't pulled the trigger on the new harness yet. We also have a Harmony backless booster - manufacture date is 6/2010 - so it expires this year also.

This is my plan - tell me if it sounds good or if you would do something else...

1. Mom's van - Frontier 85 (with new harness) for DD; keep Nauti booster for DS (can go backless when back expires)
2. Current vehicle - Leave Frontier 90 there for DD; new backless booster for DS (or leave Monterey?)
3. New vehicle - New Frontier 90 for DD; Monterey for DS or new Parkway SGL (I'm just concerned I won't like the SGL)

I would love to keep DS in a highback in all vehicles, but he really fits and does fine in a backless - I just worry about longer drives and sleeping.

Keep in mind, if you have DS in a backless in one car and choose to take that car for a long trip, you could switch out the backless for a HBB.

Unless it's close to expiring I would pass your sons Nautilus to your daughter with the harness and buy him a dedicated booster. That would be way cheaper than buying another Frontier.
