I have a 5 1/2 year old in a high back booster, and a nine year old who is still in a booster as well since she is not tall 4'9." We are going to NYC in a couple of weeks. We are flying there, and while there will be using a car service and bus transportation. My oldest does not legally need a booster seat there, so I guess I just need to make the call on whether or not to bring her booster. But, obviously, my five year old needs hers. Will it be okay if we take the back off for the trip? Seems like it would be much easier to stow on-board the plane or check at the gate with less likely damage if it is backless. Do we need to use the booster on a bus? Do city buses even have seat belts!? I'm clueless!
