Clek Foonf question?

So we have a couple of Clek Foonfs installed RF in both of our cars in the center seating position. DS is about to turn 3 and will be FF at 4. If we install the seats in the center position without using the rigid latch, what safety features are we losing out on? I'm more comfortable installing in the center position, since no one else sits back there. Would it be better to do an outboard install, allowing us to use both rigid latch and seatbelt?

Anyone have any insight?

Without rigid LATCH, you're missing out on the crumple zone-esque REACT technology. What that means vs. a center install... I don't know. I'd pick whichever you prefer.

Rigid latch has shown to be beneficial in a side impact, but more importantly that REACT system is really cool. I would think it would help with neck loads in a forward facing seat. For me it was a main reason of getting the Foonf so I would never not use it.

Thanks! That's all good to know. I didn't realize it was the rigid latch that kinda held everything together. I'll likely just do outboard installs if that's the case.

FYI, one of the big differences between the Foonf and the Fllo is that the Fllo's EACT system can be used with any installation method. Obviously no rigid LATCH benefits.

Ahh for some reason, I was thinking the REACT turned pretty much into the EACT when you didn't use the rigid latch. I didn't realize it was dependent on the rigid latch. I probably should have just saved some money and gone with the Fllo.

I am getting the fllo for that same reason as I need three across with seatbelt installs.
